Our Tiny Tales baby classes in Flintshire offer engaging, literary and sensory experiences to babies and toddlers. Led by an experienced former primary school teacher, weekly sessions run in Hawarden at Tithe Barn. We also run classes in Chester.
The classes are for all pre-school ages and split into baby and toddler groups. We’ve had babies from just a few weeks old in our baby classes, right up to three year olds in our toddler sessions.
Themed weekly sessions
The classes vary from week to week centred around the weekly story. They may include sensory experiences, craft sessions or music and dance activities. They are always tailored to the weekly theme of the book and incorporate key learning experiences. Your baby or toddler will love engaging with the book and listening to the music and sounds. They will also love getting to grips with the sensory experiences. There are songs and rhymes to join in with – usually a hit with both parents and the babies or toddlers.
Promoting early literacy
The philosophy of Tiny Tales is to make reading (and literacy) interesting from an as early an age as possible. Studies have shown that an early exposure to books and reading helps children develop a stronger interest in literacy as they grow older. As a mum myself, having a fun and social setting to which to bring my baby is incredibly important. All our sessions therefore finish with a cup of tea and coffee and a chance for everyone to catch up.
