Baby classes in Chester

Baby classes in Chester, Tiny Tales OwlOur Tiny Tales baby classes in Chester offer engaging, literary and sensory experiences to babies and toddlers. Led by an experienced former primary school teacher, weekly sessions run at Upton Pavilion, St Mary’s Center – Handbridge and Hoole Community Centre in Chester and at the village halls in Saighton , by Huntington and Waverton. There is also a venue in Hawarden in Flintshire. Our classes are aimed at a wide range of ages, from newborns through to toddler stage. We have welcomed babies from just five weeks of age, right up to age 4.

Themed weekly sessions

Our classes vary greatly from week to week, inspired and centred around the weekly story. They may include sensory experiences, craft sessions or music and dance activities. They are always tailored to the weekly theme of the book. Your baby or toddler will love engaging with the book, listening to the music and sounds, as well as getting to grips with the sensory experiences. There are songs and rhymes to join in with – usually a hit with both parents and the babies and toddlers.

Baby reading at Tiny Tales

Promoting early literacy

The philosophy of Tiny Tales is to make reading (and literacy) interesting from an as early an age as possible. Studies have shown that an early exposure to books and reading helps children develop a stronger interest in literacy as they grow older. I also know that as a mum myself, having a fun and social setting to which to bring my baby was incredibly important. All our sessions therefore finish with a cup of tea and coffee and a chance for everyone to catch up.
